We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Intelligence & Automation Lead to help lead this transformation. Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Group Manager, Clinical Governance Informatics, you will lead the development of modern clinical intelligence capabilities that support confident, informed decision-making across the organisation .
- You will design and implement scalable data pipelines, early-warning analytics and practical AI solutions that directly support patient safety, clinical governance and operational improvement.
- Working across modern cloud platforms and AI technologies, you will partner closely with clinicians, governance teams, technology and executive stakeholders to deliver secure, well-governed and meaningful solutions grounded in real clinical needs.
- This role is as much about people as it is about platforms. You will build trust, translate complexity into clarity, and help create a culture where data is understood, trusted and used to improve care.
- Lead the design and optimisation of scalable clinical data platforms and pipelines
- Develop meaningful metrics and early-warning indicators to identify and respond to risk earlier
- Apply AI, automation and emerging technologies (including LLMs and Generative AI) in practical, responsible ways
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clinicians and leaders
- Strengthen data governance, privacy, quality and security
- Partner across clinical, operational and technology teams to co-design solutions
- Help shift from retrospective reporting to proactive, intelligence-led care delivery
- Identify opportunities to automate and redesign work - enabling clinicians to focus on high-value, human- centred care
- Support data literacy and self-service analytics across the organisation
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of clinical intelligence strategy and capabilities

- Key Experience & Capability
- Experience in data engineering, analytics and cloud-based data platforms
- Strong capability in SQL, Python, Spark or similar
- Experience building data pipelines, models and warehouse architectures
- Exposure to platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks or equivalent
- Experience applying AI, automation or advanced analytics to real-world problems
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, security and quality
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Collaborative, relationship-focused approach with experience working across diverse stakeholders
