In this newly created role you will stretch across the Marketing and Sales functions within the ANZ business, understanding shopper and brand behaviour in retailer eCommerce environments. You will develop compelling plans that turn traffic, visibility and retail media investment into measurable growth in sales, share and penetration. This role is responsible for leading digital commerce and retail media strategy across the ANZ business, with a strong focus on Coles, Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and Amazon. It leads the development and execution of our e-commerce strategy and retail media activation, working across brand, shopper, digital shelf, customer and performance marketing. This is a critical position in ensuring our brands and customer plans win in an increasingly e-commerce led retail landscape, delivering against financial and market share targets. We're looking for someone who has experience in digital commerce or e-commerce, ideally in FMCG or a major retailer or media agency, who's passionate about turning data into direction, insights into action, and strategy into commercial success. In this role, you'll influence long‑term category growth, lead key customer engagements, and provide critical insights that guide major business decisions. The key responsibilities for this role include: Digital Commerce - owning conversion and execution on the digital shelf Develop and lead the digital commerce strategy across key retail partners Drive online sales, market share, and digital shelf performance across retailer platforms Analyse eCommerce data, retailer analytics, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities and improve ROI Set digital shelf standards and optimise content, including images, descriptions, and video Drive excellence in product availability, search visibility, pricing, and promotions Partner with Sales to embed digital priorities into customer plans and growth strategies Develop annual digital commerce plans, forecasts, and investment strategies aligned with customer team budgets Support forecasting, availability, and execution across retailer platforms Manage agency and technology partners, including Coles 360 and Cartology, to strengthen content, analytics, retail media, and commerce capability Retail Media Activation - management of integrated shopper marketing programs Partner with Marketing and Sales to define retail media strategy by customer and brand, including investment principles and channel roles Lead end-to-end retail media planning and activation Deliver integrated shopper media plans aligned with brand campaigns and customer commercial priorities Manage agencies and partners to deliver best-in-class capability and outcomes Establish strong measurement and reporting frameworks to guide future planning

Requirements

  • Proven experience in digital commerce or e-commerce, ideally in FMCG or a major retailer
  • Strong understanding of the retail landscape and key retail media platforms, particularly Coles, Woolworths and Amazon
  • Proven track record of delivering digital sales growth, share gains and improved ROI
  • Experience integrating digital into broader commercial plans
  • Strong understanding of: Digital shelf optimisation
  • Retail media platforms and measurement
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including Marketing and Sales
  • Knowledge of the key data and analytics tools used for performance tracking and optimisation
