About the role
As Account Manager, you are commercially responsible for developing and growing Damen Services' business within your region. Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for customers, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
- Drive commercial growth by proactively identifying, qualifying, and pursuing service opportunities
- Develop and execute a regional commercial plan, based on market insights and installed base knowledge
- Own and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring transparency, quality, and predictability
- Translate customer needs into commercially viable and executable service solutions
- Expand recurring business through maintenance, upgrades, retrofits, and long-term service agreements
- Ensure alignment between commercial commitments and execution by coordinating internally and monitoring project delivery
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (sales, operations, supply chain) to deliver value to customers
Requirements
- We are looking for a commercially driven professional with ideally a technical foundation:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or similar
- or a Business degree combined with relevant technical experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in account management, business development, or commercial roles in a technical environment
- Proven ability to develop business, manage complex customer relationships, and close deals
- Strong understanding of the combination of technical, operational, and commercial aspects of maritime services
- Experience with international customers and market dynamics is a strong plus
- You are:
