The Office of Information Technology is seeking applicants for their IT Specialist (Senior Red Hat Infrastructure Engineer) position. As a Senior Red Hat Infrastructure Engineer, you will be supporting and engineering on premise and cloud Red Hat infrastructure across the enterprise ensuring secure, reliable, scalable operations. Serving as a technical expert for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat virtualization, and OpenShift platforms to sustain and modernize mission critical IT services. Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level. Applicants are responsible for confirming all required materials are submitted by the closing date of the announcement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement below. SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level: Administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments across on-premise and cloud platforms to ensure secure, stable, and scalable enterprise operations; Managing and optimizing Red Hat virtualization technologies, including Red Hat Virtualization (RHV/RHEL-V) and related hypervisor infrastructure, to support mission-critical applications and enterprise workloads; and Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift environments to support containerized applications and enterprise modernization initiatives.
