Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited program (minimum of 2 years) in a machinist , electrical or related technical field of study and m ust maintain enrollmen t in FAME program to continue emp loyment.
• Must have a desire to work in a manufacturing environment troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining equipment.
• M ust complete the FAME program in a customary time frame.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends , as necessary.
• Minimum 18 years of age or older .
• Dependab le ; demonstrate and maintain good attendance and punctuality .
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English .
• Must be able to obtain a fork truck license.
• Any welding background or desire to become a certified welder will be considered.

The position will work under the general supervision of the Maintenance Leader who assigns work, sets priorities, and provides overall direction and guidance. This role will provide assistance and work with other skilled maintenance personnel to provide preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment reliability & uptime in support of safety, quality, delivery, and meeting cost objectives. Position Maintenance Tech - FAME Location USA, Decatur, AL How You'll Create Possibilities Assist skilled maintenance personnel in the repair, refurbishment, and installation of production equipment, as well as other job assignments. Successful completion of course work as outlined in the AL FAME program . During training, the candidate will develop the ability to perform multi-craft skills while working in a maintenance / facilities environment. M ust be a demonstrated team player who demonstrates the initiative, ability , and willingness to learn during the development of the required skills. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation, including, but not limited to: Constantly wearing personal protective equipment Must pass annual medical examination / clearance, including pulmon ary function test for respirator usage F requent standing and walking with occasional sitting F requently lifting/carrying various parts - up to 50 lbs. Occasional pushing/pulling - up to 75 lbs.
