General Description: Under the direction of the General Manager UK & Ireland, the incumbent is responsible for representing BeOne amongst a broad variety of stakeholders, frequently interacting with them and communicating BeOne's vision and mission. The Director, Corporate Affairs & Communications translates the international/global corporate affairs strategy for the national market, establishing BeOne as a credible and valued partner in the UK & Ireland markets. The holder of this role is responsible for achieving defined corporate affairs targets supported by defined resources and investment budgets whilst working closely and collaboratively with both the UK & Ireland affiliate team and the European/Global Corporate Affairs organizations. Essential Functions of the job : Setting and executing the Corporate Affairs & Communications strategy (communication, Government Affairs, Corporate Affairs, & Public affairs) for BeOne in the UK & Ireland Establishing and maintaining relationships with a broad variety of stakeholder groups including government relations, healthcare organisations, trade associations, working groups, and relevant medical societies (with a focus on oncology and haematology) Steering the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and programs with the above stakeholders The incumbent is a key and active member of the UK & Ireland Leadership Team and plays a major role in the co-creation and execution of the local vision, mission and strategy Enhancing and protecting BeOne reputation: Finding new ways and opportunities to lift our reputation amongst relevant external stakeholders in the UK & Ireland Develop communications strategies and resources to support business priorities incl. the development of aligned messaging helping the organization telling a compelling story Equip and train leaders to engage stakeholders with confidence and credibility; elevate GM visibility and establish as a go-to-voice in oncology Support employee engagement and lead internal communications through regular communications and celebration of key milestones; support leaders in change management. Increase awareness on our products in the haemato-oncology market Develop and implement locally the patient advocacy strategy: Position BeOne and build relationships with local patient groups in haematology/oncology and manage partnerships. Amplify patient's voice and partnership with external stakeholders with the ultimate goal to enable patient access. Co-create surround sound campaigns to amplify disease awareness, accelerate access across media and digital platforms. Champion and stimulate colleague engagement in disease area charitable activities and community events. Public/Government Affairs: Develop and implement public affairs strategies to position BeOne as a leading oncology company and increase awareness of our products Position BeOne and build stable and trusted relationships with governments officials, trade associations and policy influencers with a particular focus on oncology and haematology. Keeping management informed of any healthcare developments which are relevant to strategy implementation and development Manages and plans the expense budget for all Corporate Affairs activities Identify agencies/vendors/technologies/tools that can benefit the execution of the Corporate Affairs Strategy Project management (contracts, invoicing, communication) for Corporate Affairs activities and projects together with admin support Measure the impact of CA activities through defined performance metrics Work in close collaboration with the Global and European Corporate Affairs team at BeOne and representing the local perspective and with cross-functional teams from other departments in strong alignment with the leadership team Ensure compliance across all areas to maintain the highest standards of patients focused ethical conduct in line with our values Consistently ensure operating in accordance with BeOne´s Standards of conduct and all applicable local laws and regulations Supervisory Responsibilities : Yes Qualifications & Capabilities : Scientific education and/or experience in similar positions, degree in communications/PR or public health/policy or MBA 15 years of qualified work experience in Corporate Affairs roles, including robust experience in communications Very good knowledge about the legal framework of the health care system and applicable regulations for working together with respective stakeholders High level of social and oral/written communication skills Demonstrated success in a small but fast growing, entrepreneurial commercial environment.
