The Compliance & Regulatory Manager for HHWS/WQ is responsible for the maintenance and compliance to all regulatory and safety requirements of existing and new products. Scope of Position The Compliance & Regulatory Engineer for Watts, NY is responsible for the maintenance and compliance to all regulatory and safety requirements of existing and new products. The role is also responsible for day-to-day Engineering support for ECNs, BOMs, and product updates This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to the Sustaining Engineering Supervisor; dotted line to Quality and Production Engineering Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Blauvelt, NY. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Ensure all product designs and configurations comply with applicable regulatory and safety standards (including UL, ASME, CRN...ect) and prepare and submit required certification applications. Partner with engineering, quality, manufacturing, sales and marketing to proactively identify compliance risks, resolve non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions. Establish, execute, and maintain compliance testing standards; perform diagnostics, analyze results, document findings, and prepare compliance reports. Support and continuously improve the Regulatory Compliance Program by developing standardized processes, controls and best practices. Provide compliance input to New Product Development (NPD) and recommend product or process changes to sustain critical quality standards. Support and execute engineering process improvements, including assisting in ECNs, and documentation related to compliance and CAPEX initiatives. Create new and revise existing parts and assembly shop drawings. Strong knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and Design Standards & Processes. Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Sr. Sustaining Engineering Manager or Company management. Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency) Travel Requirements: under 25% Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering 5 years' of relevant work experience in manufacturing environment. Strong regulatory knowledge of ASME, CRN, UL Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to support documentation, analysis, and reporting. Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable. Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and PDM Basic understanding to ERP systems, BOMs, and Routing Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screens, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Blauvelt, NY location (Monday - Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
