Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician . The Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. They conduct general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment, maintain repair and maintenance records, troubleshoot problems and escalate the most complex issues. This role will be a full-time position base out of St. Louis, MO site. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2p-10:30p with training on 1st shift for the first 90 days.

Requirements

• Education:
• High school completion or equivalent GED. Technical school certifications preferred.
• 3 years applicable direct experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems required.
• Additional Qualifications:
• Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
• Ability to use personal computers, and related applications.

• Maintains building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment.
• P erforms maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc.
• Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
