Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with radiator repair techniques including brazing, soldering, assembly / disassembly, pressure testing and leak repair. Experience in manufacturing management and Front-Line Leadership: Safety, Quality, Delivery, forecasting, scheduling, equipment utilization, capacity analysis, labor requirements, overtime, past due, ERP reports and reporting, basic project management, disciplinary process, and adherence to work rules. Strong experience working with KPIs and ability to interpret indicators and how they are impacted by daily activities such as: Incident Rate, COPQ, TOP, OEE, Takt Time achievement, Hour by Hour, etc. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical and assembly schematics, BOMS and specifications. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools torque, wrenches pneumatic tools, pressure testing equipment, hydraulic presses and flushing stations. Proficiency in Microsoft office tools and ability to learn production software. What will your typical day look like? Ensure people adhere to Safety, Quality and Production standards. Promote safety first by enforcing safety protocols, conducting workplace safety audits, and ensuring corrective action when risks are identified. Handle various administrative tasks for production and leadership assignments. Meet quality, safety, and production metrics stablish by the plant and operations manager. Supervise radiator remanufacturing production line including disassembling, cleaning, reassembly and testing processes. Monitor and enforce high performance, follow disciplinary procedures to ensure work rules are followed. Provide coaching and feedback to shop personnel to support team development and performance. Lead by example with a strong leadership presence on the shop floor, demonstrating professionalism, accountability and integrity. Apply mechanical knowledge to oversee repairs during the radiators overhaul process. Ensure correct use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment such as pneumatic tools, toque wrenches, pressure testers, hydraulic presses and flushing systems. Oversee the correct use and operate of overhead cranes, hoists, and forklift for safe handling of heavy radiator components and assemblies. Troubleshoot production issues related to Safety, Quality or Product Flow. Review and understand engineering mechanical drawings, part/component drawings, assembly drawings, dimensions and tolerances. Manage the adherence to work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), standard work documents, Safety Audits, JSA, etc. Coordinate and partner with interdisciplinary teams such as maintenance, lean, quality, engineering, workers, other production lines and management. Demonstrate professional communication skills, critical thinking, interfacing with engineering, management, direct labor, indirect labor, support functions, vendors, and service suppliers. Lead problem solving activities through root cause analysis and associated tools: PDCA, DMAIC, 8P (9SPS), Fishbone, Kaizen, TPM, LOB, 5-Why. Lead a team in Lean principals, practice, events: VSM, flow optimization, Push/Pull, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, 6-sigma, TAKT time, Ghant charting. Maintain high standards in safety, workplace ergonomics, JSA, hazard analysis, and corrective action plans.
