Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all rebate programs and processes across business units.
- Lead and monitor daily activities of the Rebates team; prioritize workload, provide coaching, training, and performance feedback; conduct team meetings.
- Oversee calculation and execution of recurring and ad-hoc rebates, ensuring compliance with Dealer Contracts and established policies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams ( Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Merchandising, Marketing, Store Support) to resolve rebate-related issues and disputes.
- Review and approve all manual rebate adjustments and special rebate requests.
- Ensure accurate accruals for rebates and provide variance explanations.
- Maintain and update SOP documentation and process maps for rebate activities.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for the Rebates team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and standardize rebate processes across all business units.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Ensure CPO controls are executed and documented for monthly/quarterly review.
- Engage in meetings for onboarding new business opportunities and rebate programs.
- What you bring
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; CPA/CMA/CGA designation or pursuit is an asset.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or rebate management within a large organization.
- Strong understanding of rebate programs, Dealer Contracts, and financial processes.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft Access is an asset.
- Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems; familiarity with IMS (InfoPac, PMCost) is an asset.
- Ability to thrive in an environment of change and ambiguity while driving process improvements.
