Key Accountabilities Drive Safety First Culture throughout the facility, while promoting awareness and improvements. Supports associates in department. Lead and coordinate the training of less experienced and/or new Associates. Direct the work of associates in the department including job priorities. Responsible for escalating department issues to Materials Manager as required. Receive, count, verify and ensure accuracy of received goods; materials and items such as various metal bar stock, raw steel, flat stock, and components. Verifies the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Verifies that materials received are as ordered. Routes incoming items within the company as directed. Compares identifying information with bills of landing, invoices, orders or records. Pick and Stock product orders and accurately perform ERP system transactions. Perform Cycle Counts daily. Perform Parts protection/Material handling tasks. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and overhead crane to move stock or reorganize storage. Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping; prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 3-5 years of related shipping and receiving experience. Ability to operate trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyers, overhead cranes or other handling equipment to move material to and from and within the facility. Ability to work independently as well as lead communication meetings with team. Good critical thinking skills. Resolving most questions and problems and referring more complex issues to higher levels. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions, with acute attention to detail. Fast learner. Effective communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Supports continuous improvement/RBS activities.
