About the role

A Distribution Loader is responsible for pulling customer orders of cable and loading them on flatbeds, containers, and LTL carriers, using small and large lifts. Salary: Starting $20.34 and up (Based on experience). Shifts: Monday through Friday Either 1st shift (6AM-2PM) or 2nd shift (2PM-10PM) Shifts can be adjusted if needed Weekends and overtime are sometimes required to reach goals and on-time delivery objectives. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: This position consists of loading small to large fiber optic cables on trucks on an 8-hour shift, and handling BOL's and checklists for all loads and drivers. Most of the loading is done outside on flatbeds. Loading must be done in a safe and timely manner, while making sure truckdrivers are loaded correctly, "right the first time". Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Communication skills to deal with truck drivers, domestic and foreign. - Can perform and maintain 6S. - Strong teamwork orientation to successfully work with coworkers to accomplish department/production goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience on big and small lifts is a must.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production
  • areas and outside.
  • Operate a nail gun and hammer.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must have basic math skills and can use a tape measure and
