What your new role will entail; As part of a growing business, AECOM is looking for Land Referencers at all levels to be involved in some of the UK's most complex, iconic, and challenging infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to thrive working with high-profile clients across all sectors. Your principal responsibilities as a Land Referencer will be to; Deliver land referencing projects for major infrastructure schemes. Act as a point of contact to client and engage with various stakeholders to capture requirements and develop relationships. Monitor progress of land referencing projects, identify risks and implement timely resolution of issues. Ensuring land referencing project is delivered on time and within budget. Support Land Referencing Lead with team growth activities and operational tasks. Manage, motivate and mentor junior staff and assist with the development of internal training programmes. Ensure the quality of our work as lead verifier of our land referencing deliverables. We would also particularly welcome applications from Land Referencers with experience of and / or an interest in DCO Project Management and Leadership including the following activities: Contributing to the leadership of the AECOM DCO delivery service. Leading on the coordination of DCO applications. Develop multi-disciplinary programme (incl. design milestones and DCO process stages) & reporting on progress. Development and implementation of tools and services for consents delivery, including: multi-disciplinary programmes; regulatory compliance management; management of application deliverables; DCO Delivery Plans; project risk logs; S 55 checklist compliance management; meetings management; document control; and production and coordination of DCO applications. Arrange and document project meetings. Contract management and financial project management, including reporting and programme, budget, risk and change management. Contributing to business development in one or more market sectors, including leading and contributing to the preparation of successful commercial tenders. Project management and implementing quality and health and safety principles. Participating in internal and external meetings. Being part of the team; The AECOM Land Referencing team is ideally positioned within the Environment business area to help fast track our client's response to climate change, water scarcity concerns and energy transition. As part of an embedded AECOM project team of industry experts, you will be working to help deliver Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP's) including key renewables, hydrogen, carbon capture and energy transmission projects in addition to improving our water resilience through new water pipeline developments. Our team are currently based across Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Chesterfield and Cardiff with plans to expand to other locations in the UK. As part of our developing team, we will place your career progression as our number one priority through our tailored career pathways and our bespoke Land Referencing training program. This training programme will guarantee a rotation of project workload so you gain experience across a range of consenting processes including but not limited to Development Consent Orders (DCO), Town and Country Planning Act (TCPA) 1990 and Water Industry Act (WIA) 1991 projects. Here's what we will need from you; Experience of delivering land referencing programmes for major infrastructure schemes. Detailed knowledge of Land Referencing and Statutory Process for DCO, Hybrid Bill, CPO, TWAO, WIA 1991 projects. Strong familiarity with GIS systems. Ability to liaise with both external and internal stakeholders at all levels. A drive for professional progression.
