- Prepare compelling proposals to deliver presentations and negotiate agreements to meet revenue targets.
- Conduct market research to track competitor activities, industry trends and emerging markets.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company's sales goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong rapport and relationships with new and existing clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the logistics industry, warehouse operations, or supply chain.
- Fluent in Tamil and English to support the company's logistics in India, Sri Lanka and Papua New Guinea.
- Flexible to travel, within short notice, to India, Sri Lanka and Papua New Guinea to identify new market opportunities and advance business development initiatives.
- Possess Singapore Class3 or 4 driving license to stand in for logistics driver when required.
- Strong knowledge in budgeting and finance to analyse costs and control expenses.
- Skilled in problem-solving and the ability to make quick logical decisions and build contingency plans when disruptions arise.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and clients.
- Leadership ability to supervise, motivate and resolve conflicts among the team or with clients.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and calmly handle high-pressure crises.
- Exceptional negotiation skills to cut cost, protect profit margin and securing supply chain reliability.
