Mechanical Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Job Summary: Generally responsible for assisting in performing routine designs of less complex engineering assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This work will be performed under direct supervision.
• Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Assist with maintaining CAD drawings of HSA piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's).
• Assist with control of technical documents in Plant Document Room.
• Assist with Plant Document Room filing of technical documents.
• Support, as needed, engineering staff with technical drawing(s) development of preliminary design sketches.

• Ideal Background
• Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science Degree Program in Civil Engineering at an accredited university is required. Structural coursework is required for structural engineering internships or coops.
• GPA: 2.7 or above required
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
• Basic knowledge of CAD software, either AutoCAD, Microstation or both.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Begin developing virtual team skills and familiarity with interoffice execution.
