We currently have an opportunity for a talented Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our F5 team. This is a customer‑ and partner‑facing sales and technical role within the Sales organisation. The SE's primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical expertise and to provide deep technical knowledge of F5 solutions to customers. To be effective, an SE must have strong technical skills and in‑depth knowledge of both F5 products and the ecosystem in which we operate. Fear not-we provide training and certification to ensure these critical skills are continuously developed. The high‑level objective of the role is to achieve assigned sales targets by selling relevant F5 solutions and products aligned with customers' business needs, in partnership with the Sales Account Manager. From the customer's perspective, the SE is a trusted adviser who proactively learns and understands technical and business challenges and proposes effective solutions to mitigate concerns and deliver value. The F5 SE not only presents technical features, but also clearly articulates the associated business benefits as part of the Technical Value Proposition. Primary Responsibility Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and promptly report violations of the Code or other company policies. Global Responsibilities Provide complex design and systems engineering configurations Partner with Product Development and Product Management to support Change Request (CR) and Customer Special Request (CSR) cases Maintain a high level of technical knowledge of F5 solutions and the broader industry Utilise F5 sales strategy and solution messaging to align solutions with customer business objectives Develop and deliver presentations for customers and partners Clearly articulate the technical components of the F5 value proposition Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and share insights with the CAT team Contribute to case studies, white papers, and media content Foster a collaborative, team‑based environment and share best practices Effectively negotiate and manage conflict resolution Actively use SE tools, including Salesforce.com, Idea, EDGE, Mainstream, and other readiness programs Partner with the sales team to maintain detailed account profiles, including organisational structures, strategies, products, and technology needs Effectively utilise F5 organisational resources Deliver world‑class customer service across pre‑sales, implementation, and post‑sales activities Lead strategic, organisation‑wide initiatives Develop a well‑defined subject matter expert (SME) focus in at least one technology area Deliver customised product presentations using an advanced, solution‑based sales approach Provide proactive consultative support Create customer documentation for Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements Understand business requirements related to technical account strategy Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product Development, and Technical Support teams Solve problems
