Responsibilities

  • You will lead the full project lifecycle with a strong focus on integration, execution, and performance:

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (technical, commercial, and delivery)
  • Ensure compliance with AECOM's quality management systems and safe work practices
  • Lead project reviews and ensure audit-defensible documentation
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary client interface, building trusted relationships and ensuring delivery excellence
  • Lead coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), permitting bodies, and regulatory stakeholders across BC
  • Facilitate effective communication across all project stakeholders
  • Business Development & Growth
  • Support capture strategies, proposals, and client engagement activities
  • Contribute to strengthening AECOM's Design-Build presence in Western Canada
  • Identify opportunities for repeat work and client expansion
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field + 4 (four) years of experience managing multiple projects of various types and complexities for commercial, institutional, and light industrial client
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Design-Build or alternative delivery projects
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada security clearance
  • Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain:
  • o Reliability Status (minimum)
  • o Secret Clearance (required for many federal projects)
  • Clearances are administered by the Contract Security Program (CSP) through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC)
  • Ability to comply with project-specific security protocols, including controlled site access and information handling requirements

Requirements

  • Professional designation (P.Eng. or Architect - AIBC)
  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience delivering building or infrastructure projects
  • PMP certification; DBIA certification is an asset
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project financials, contracts, and change management
  • Experience delivering projects in the Western Canada market
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams in complex project environments
