Responsibilities

  • Validate system redundancy (N+1, N+2, 2N, 2N+1), operational reliability, and maintainability requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, utility requirements, and international standards (Uptime Tier III/IV, NFPA, IEC, TIA, ISO).
  • Coordinate with utility providers for grid interconnection, energization, and regulatory approvals.
  • Oversee HV/MV infrastructure delivery, protection coordination, energization strategy, and power system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash).
  • Manage vendor, contractor, and consultant performance to ensure adherence to technical specifications and project objectives.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead multi-disciplinary internal teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Act as the primary interface with clients, utility authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear communication, alignment, and coordination across all parties.
  • Mentor junior engineers and project staff, promoting knowledge transfer and operational excellence.
  • Support the Director of Engineering in strategic planning and executive-level reporting.
  • Compliance, Quality & Safety
  • Enforce engineering standards, corporate governance, and safety regulations.
  • Review quality reports to validate installation quality and workmanship.
  • Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives and ensure statutory and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Operations & Handover
  • Ensure a smooth transition to operations, including as-built documentation, SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and asset registers.
  • Ensure operational readiness, uptime SLA compliance, and post-handover stabilization.
  • Support training of O&M teams.
  • Validate performance metrics including PUE, WUE, and system reliability KPIs.

Requirements

  • Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, engineering leadership, or similar preferred.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, CDCP, ATD (Accredited Tier Designer).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in data center construction, commissioning, or hyperscale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven delivery of large-scale Tier III+ or hyperscale data centers (50 MW+).
