As the Associate Director of Fragrance Development , you will step into a strategic regional leadership role driving the olfactive direction for the Southeast Asia (SEA) market. Based in Singapore, you will champion fragrance evaluation and selection across an expansive portfolio, including Personal Wash, Personal Care, Hair Care, and Fine Fragrance . Your core mission will be to translate consumer insights and brand strategies into winning liquid, balancing artistic creativity with commercial viability. Lead the fragrance evaluation strategy across cross-category briefs, ensuring strong alignment between market expectations and olfactive direction. Act as a senior partner to key regional accounts, driving high-stakes proactive pitches, defense projects, and innovation pipelines. Work hand-in-hand with Perfumers, Marketing, Consumer Insights, and R&D to deliver high-performing scent solutions. Identify emerging regional trends and new olfactive territories to build a differentiated, forward-looking fragrance portfolio. about the manager/team In this role, you will lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing regional evaluation team. Reporting to senior regional leadership, you will have the mandate to strengthen team capabilities, build cross-regional synergies, and act as a bridge between technical expertise and commercial growth. This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a definitive leadership space with strategic ownership. skills and experience required The ideal candidate is an established fragrance expert who possesses a rare blend of sharp olfactive judgment, commercial acumen, and people leadership. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Perfumery, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific/creative field. Minimum 10 to 15 years of dedicated experience in fragrance evaluation, development, or creation within a recognized F&F house. Proven track record across Personal Care (Personal Wash/Hair Care) and/or Fine Fragrances. Deep understanding of consumer preferences, olfactive trends, and market dynamics across Southeast Asia (SEA). Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team of evaluators or technical professionals. Stakeholder management, executive presence, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior clients.
