Responsibilities

- Enforce governance standards through Azure Policy, resource tagging, and compliance initiatives across client subscriptions and management groups.
- Manage OS patching and update cycles via Azure Update Management Center.
- Triage and respond to Microsoft Defender for Cloud findings, coordinating with internal or client security teams when deeper investigation or remediation is required.
- Review and maintain NSG and Azure Firewall policies in line with client security posture requirements.
- Manage Entra ID RBAC, Conditional Access policies, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) reviews scoped to Azure infrastructure access.
- Validate and maintain Azure Backup policies, Recovery Services vaults, and ASR/replication configurations; conduct periodic restore testing to confirm RPO/RTO adherence.
- Deliver cost optimization analysis using Azure Cost Management and Advisor; produce monthly spend reports and proactive recommendations for rightsizing and resource efficiency.
- Produce monthly KPI reports and quarterly operations and control attestation packs for client stakeholders.
- Client Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client IT teams, owning the technical relationship day-to-day.
- Participate in client governance reviews and service meetings, translating technical findings into clear, accessible reporting.
- Communicate proactively on incidents, changes, and emerging risks, maintaining a high standard of client-facing professionalism.
- Required Skills & Experience
- 6 to 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or administration, including at least 4 years of hands-on Azure engineering experience. Strong experience in managed services, outsourced delivery, or other operationally mature multi-environment support models is preferred.
- Solid experience with infrastructure as code - Terraform preferred; ARM/Bicep also considered.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure security tooling; familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Entra ID, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management in the context of Azure infrastructure governance. Experience with Conditional Access is helpful where relevant to infrastructure access controls.
