T Magazine, the New York Times Style Magazine, is seeking an experienced designer to join its creative team. This is a temporary, in-office position, based in New York City and includes regular attendance in the office four days each week. There may be some flexibility to work remotely per your departmental guidance. Responsibilities include: Designing print and digital stories for T Magazine in conjunction with the Creative Director and Art Director Collaborating with editorial, photo, and production on all facets of layout development and expression Providing primary purview of front of book design through all stages of the workflow including production management Working closely with team to maintain smooth functioning of art department Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world This role will report to the Creative Director and work closely with editorial staff across the magazine
