  • Ongoing need for employees to see and read information, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.

  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computers, phone, and cable set-up and use.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
  • For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

Job Description: The Manager of Medical Transport Communications Center leads and develops a high performing team of air or ground medical transport Communication Specialists by fostering collaboration and achieving the strategic goals of Intermountain Health while maintaining a high-level service, sustainability, simplification and safety. This position works to optimize operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement within the department and organization through compliance with safety, regulatory and accreditation standards. Essential Functions Manages the Medical Transport Communication Center air or ground operations and reports outcomes to appropriate organizational leaders. Oversees the effective management of the Medical Transport Communication Center human resources, including staffing needs, scheduling, recruiting, hiring, terminating, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. Maintains compliance with quality assurance, provides investigation and escalation into complaints or areas of non-compliance and determines and communicates desired outcomes. Implements strategic plans for the Communications Center as outlined by the organization. Supports ongoing relationships with community and organizational leaders and serves as an ambassador of Intermountain Health. Successfully manages the fiscal goals of the department. Acts as a role model and fosters an environment of professionalism and caregiver engagement. Mentors and coaches' caregivers and leaders in the department
