The Lab Integration Engineer is vital for ensuring seamless and efficient operation of all lab systems related to Wabtec's energy management product, Trip Optimizer. Essential Responsibilities: System Integration: Develop and integrate hardware and software systems within the lab and perform installation, upgrade, recovery, and validation of Slim Sims, Legacy slim Sim and PTC systems Simulation Modelling: Create strategies to meet various lab simulation model and Simulator communication and data flow between multiple setups. Testing and Validation: Design and execute tests to ensure system functionality and performance. Investigate and communicate system defects thoroughly, ensuring their resolution. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve integration and deployment issues on rail domain specifics like GPS, Air Brake, DP, and VLSI‑EAB integrations and Super CIO, FE217 card installation and validation Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for integration processes. Collaboration: Work with global engineers and IT staff to ensure smooth system operations. Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance post-integration and implement necessary updates. IT Hardware - PCs: Ensure all relevant PCs are configured in the lab as intended and collaborate with the IT team for end-user needs. Global Collaboration: Work with global teams to solve problems and develop solutions for efficiency and productivity. Industry Experience: Experience in software and hardware controls for the Locomotive Freight Rail industry is essential. Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS): Implement EHS practices, collaborate with EHS leaders, identify and mitigate hazards, prevent accidents, and promote a safe work environment. Asset Management: Document all assets, ensure they are tagged according to Wabtec policies, and keep records up to date.
