About the role

Commercial Finance Analyst (System and Process) acts as the finance partner for wider commercial team to drive value creation by optimizing the P&L and Balance Sheet impact of the functional decisions, leading and coordinating key initiatives across customer accounts in the Sector, working across the business functions to ensure trade-offs between functions are understood, running strong financial analysis and embedding strong financial controls within the sales area. As a Finance Analyst - Sales , you will help drive our goals by: Act as the trusted business partner to the wider commercial team globally, developing a deep understanding of the business and sales operation, building a real and proactive partnership with the stakeholders, providing real time financial support, delivering information in a clear and user-friendly manner, and being able to convey challenging and insightful messages. Own the Sector Global Quote Finance Model (GQFM) to enable the financial analysis and understanding of the profitability of future business. Leading the annual/periodic updates on the GQFM to reflect the latest cost developments. Responsible for the maintenance as well as the continuous improvements and simplification of the GQPM itself. Own the Global Contribution Margin report by developing, maintaining, distributing, and interpreting the reports. Train the organization for better understanding of the product, part and customer profitability. Collaborate with cross functions including wider commercial team, local finance functions, standard cost analyst, Sector finance team to continuously enhance the reports. Lead the global inflation model development to enable effective understanding of the cost impact and enable mitigation plan and actions are developed accordingly by cross functions especially by Sales to increase the sales prices. Responsible for maintaining the inflation model and timely distribute the data to the respective functions. Also support to develop necessary insights to support sales in the inflation/price negotiation. Responsible for tracking commercial incentives globally by customer and by programs to ensure we have clear record of all the inflation payment, payment method, program timing. Cooperate with Sector Controlling team and local finance to ensure proper accounting/financial booking for the commercial incentives (both balance sheet and P/L) Support wider commercial team of any specific customer issues (including claims, reconciliations, disputes, cost breakdown, commercial term change, etc). Ensure appropriate compliance and control environment in place for all matters related to commercial activities. Support Commercial Finance Business Partner on strategic planning and value-creating agenda by directly leading or coordinating financial target setting, financial strategy implementation and financial performance tracking for the sales function. Support Commercial Finance Business Partner and sales function on any other ad hoc requirement or account related initiatives/projects. Key skills that will help you succeed in this role : University / Postgraduate (master's degree) qualification Professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACA, CIMA or equivalent Significant and substantial experience in Finance function preferably in a large corporate organization Experience of chemicals / automotive industry Experience of interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver objectives with medium to long time frames Excellent communication and influencing skills High level of written, verbal and oral English language skills Additional languages advantageous Capacity to 'manage' and influence a diverse group of people across multiple geographies Able to build trusted, collaborative relationships Even if you only match some of the skills, we'd love to hear from you to discuss further!
