Requirements

• Two-year Associate Degree or equivalent education
• Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledge
• Ability to process a high volume of work in a timely manner
• Requires willingness and ability to work various hours, weekends and independently
• Excellent computer, communication, initiative, organizational, analytical and customer service skills
• Experience in steelmaking or metals manufacturing.
• Experience in a union environment.

Location: Mansfield, OH Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for an Area Planner at its Mansfield, Ohio facility. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory records of spare part inventories; expedite the procurement and/or repair processes for parts required to maintain or repair machinery and equipment. Summary of Responsibilities: Evaluates part requirement for emergency repair or maintenance operations Maintain parts file for department records and replacement spare parts; establish stocking levels of spare parts Maintains mechanical drawing files Maintains computerized preventive / predictive maintenance program Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance orders and receiving purchase orders Conduct safety and quality audit / observations / inspections within the department to detect existing or potential accident hazards, or quality defects. Assist in the development, review, and update of JSHA's (Job Safety and Health Analysis) to eliminate safety hazards Other duties as assigned.
