Trainee Fuel Testing Laboratory Technician

About the role

Job Description: Assist in performing testing of marine fuels, lubricating oils, and other petroleum products in accordance with ISO, ASTM, and other relevant international standard test methods. Carry out daily quality control checks and maintain laboratory data records and worksheets. Work closely with Laboratory Technicians in the development of testing procedures, operational protocols, and in-house methods. Ensure proper handling, storage, and housekeeping of chemicals and glassware, and assist in maintaining laboratory and testing equipment. Support procurement activities by liaising with suppliers on purchasing matters when required. Ensure laboratory safety procedures and equipment are properly maintained and comply with required standards. Job Requirements: Minimum GCE 'O' Level, ITE or equivalent qualification. Fresh candidates with no prior experience are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in a testing laboratory, within the Oil & Gas industry, will be considered an added advantage. Willing to learn, take responsibility, and work independently to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills. Willingness to work beyond office hours when required. A strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
