Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes from 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Create machining strategies for complex aerospace components (predominantly turning of medium-sized parts).
  • Program Mill/Turn components using 3D CAD/CAM systems (Siemens NX or Edgecam preferred).
  • Design fixtures and tooling; support gauging and special tooling approval.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Participate in a shared morning shift rotation (approximately once every 8 weeks).
  • Flexibility to support business needs, including minimal travel.
  • Skills & Experience Required

Requirements

  • HNC/HND (preferred) or Level 3 Apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years' relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Significant progressive experience in manufacturing/process engineering environments.
  • Technical Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of Mill/Turn machining (turning focus).
  • 3D CAD/CAM proficiency (Siemens NX or Edgecam).
  • SolidWorks or Siemens NX CAD experience.
  • Fixture design and tooling selection.
  • NC post-processing.
  • SAP/Solumina experience.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, DFM, DFSS, APQP methodologies.
  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Desirable Experience

  • Zoller tool setting capability.
