A Brief Overview Assists the O&M Generalist I in performing routine and preventative maintenance and repairs. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values. What you will do Good written and verbal communication. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations. Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers. Ability to follow written instructions. Ability to organize tasks and maintain control of work flow. Possession of a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a DOT background check based on work facility. Education/Formal Training Requirements Required - High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience Requirements Required - General maintenance and operations 1-3 years Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Receives work orders for, routine, or preventative maintenance and repairs. Assists the OM Generalist II in determining the nature of the problem and ensuring that repairs are completed in a timely manner. Performs non-technical repairs. Demonstrates effective customer service skills promoting a positive work environment and contributes to the overall team effort. Understands and applies all policies, procedures and standards. Supervision Provided by this Position No supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position. Physical Demands Occasional work performed outdoors. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations. Occasional travel to other locations Ability to read and write and to communicate orally and in writing with other individuals. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. throughout shift. Ability to stand, walk. Climb stairs, sit in one place, squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist and crawl throughout shift. Good balance and coordination. Ability to use hands and feet together for repetitive, coordinated motions. Ability to use hands for gripping and squeezing as well as perform repetitive hand and wrist motion.
