About the role

As a Team Leader of technical staff in the second entitlement teams , you will collaborate closely with claims teams to ensure the highest levels of technical capability and service are consistently delivered and maintained. This will be a full-time, permanent position based in our Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Ensure team members achieve performance and KPI targets as set out under the BU performance framework.
- Coordinate any Identify and evaluate individual and organisational development needs. Deliver individual and group learning and development programs.
- Utilise appropriate feedback to identify, oversee and foster an efficient, collaborative and effective customer-centric operating model.
- Adopt a service-orientated approach that is focused on early intervention and the interests of workers and employers Drive continuous improvement and innovation. Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends and respond effectively to changes.
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal clients and the management team by displaying our values and behaviours.
- Ensure the effective management of key legislative drivers in accordance with the Act including ownership and dissemination of weekly circulars and directions sent by WorkSafe.
- ABOUT YOU
- Strong technical experience within the Victorian worker's compensation scheme is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a technical specialist in worker's compensation claims
- Proven track record in developing technical capability within all or most claims management segments
- Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
- Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- People management skills, including team building, coaching and change management
