Seeking a field Safety Coordinators in Norfolk, VA to assist with a long term Road Connector Project. Must have bridge and roadway experience. Duties include but not limited to: Administer compliance with the safety program and lead accident prevention efforts to ensure company and project safety goals are met. Conduct site inspections of project work areas and equipment. Develop, organize, and implement safety related programs that meet company safety standards. Assisting in the investigation of accidents and determining root causes and recommend corrective /preventive measures. Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits with a focus on hazard recognition and unsafe behaviors. Coordinate and conduct safety meetings/training programs to ensure effective communication amongst new and existing employees. Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Carry out any other assigned tasks given by the Area Safety Manager or Area Project Manager. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb multiple flights of stairs. Outside role, working rotating Days and Night shifts.
