Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Advanced Children's Social Worker to join its client's East Riding of Yorkshire Localities Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior practitioner to take a lead role in complex child care cases, support the development of other social workers, and contribute to service-wide practice improvement. The role involves managing complex caseloads, supporting looked after children, and providing professional guidance, mentoring, and supervision to less experienced colleagues and social work students. What will your responsibilities be? In this role, you will: Complete statutory assessments to determine needs and recommend appropriate plans and actions. Act as lead professional on allocated complex child care cases, including assessment, intervention, and care planning for looked after children. Coordinate, commission, and monitor a range of services to meet children's needs. Work in accordance with childcare legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies and procedures. Co-work complex cases alongside other social workers within the team. Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records using electronic case management systems. Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, panels, and court proceedings. Develop integrated multi-agency practice to assess, plan, and deliver services for children and families. Mentor, coach, and support newly qualified social workers, including opportunities for co-working and observational learning. Support and supervise social work students. Provide professional guidance and support to practitioners within the team, including attendance at reviews, panels, and court as required. Contribute to the development of best practice across the service through coaching, training, team meetings, and dissemination of research, policy, and procedure updates. Support the Team Manager in developing and embedding quality assurance processes to improve performance and outcomes. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade and level of responsibility. Communicate effectively in English to meet the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016. Qualifications & Experience: To be successful in this role you must have: Degree level qualification in Social Work (or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant post-qualified experience in Children's Social Work. Experience of managing complex child care and looked after children cases. Proven ability to mentor, support, and develop other social workers. Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, statutory frameworks, and safeguarding practice. Eligible to work in the UK.
