About the role
As Sales Manager - Hyde Opening , you will play a key role in driving the commercial positioning, market penetration, and successful launch of Hyde Mexico City. Key responsibilities include: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue across rooms, groups, meetings, events, and food & beverage opportunities. Identify, prospect, and manage key accounts across corporate, leisure, entertainment, consortia, luxury, lifestyle, and local market segments. Support the hotel's pre-opening commercial plan, including market mapping, account development, sales calls, site inspections, and brand presentations. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel partners, agencies, DMCs, corporate accounts, event planners, and local business partners. Actively generate new business opportunities and convert leads into confirmed revenue. Represent Hyde in sales activities, networking events, trade shows, client events, and industry forums. Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Events, Reservations, Operations, and Food & Beverage teams to maximize commercial opportunities. Understand Mexico City's hospitality, lifestyle, entertainment, food, beverage, and corporate market to position Hyde competitively. Prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and commercial follow-ups with accuracy, creativity, and timely execution. Monitor account performance, market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities to recommend tactical actions. Ensure all sales activities are properly tracked in the applicable sales systems and aligned with company standards. Support the creation of memorable client experiences, site inspections, and activations that reflect the Hyde brand. Contribute to achieving hotel revenue targets, business mix objectives, and commercial KPIs. Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional service. We are looking for you - with personality, commercial instinct, and that certain something: Proven experience, minimum two (2) years, in hotel sales, preferably within luxury, lifestyle, boutique, or hospitality brands. Previous experience in a pre-opening hotel environment will be highly valued. Strong knowledge of the Mexico City market, including corporate accounts, leisure demand, entertainment, lifestyle, groups, events, and local business opportunities. Demonstrated ability to develop accounts, generate leads, negotiate effectively, and close business. Commercially driven, target-oriented, and highly proactive in identifying revenue opportunities. Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to represent the Hyde brand with confidence, creativity, warmth, and professionalism. Experience working with sales systems, CRM tools, account management platforms, and hotel commercial processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced pre-opening environment. Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with Revenue, Marketing, Events, Operations, Reservations, and Food & Beverage.
