Responsibilities
- In the Lab (Shipping & Receiving):
- Receive and check incoming equipment against work orders and packing lists
- Document equipment condition and flag any damage or missing parts
- Enter equipment info into our system and generate work orders
- Apply labels, barcodes, and tracking tags to keep everything organized
- Communicate with customers and team members about any discrepancies
- Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and safe
- On the Road (Delivery Driver):
- Drive our company vehicle to pick up and deliver customer equipment
- Follow planned routes and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries
- Handle equipment carefully and follow all traffic laws
- Keep the vehicle clean and do basic upkeep (tire pressure, oil checks)
- Represent J&J Calibration with friendly, professional customer service
- Clerical & Administrative Support:
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records
- Support front-office tasks including answering phones and coordinating with internal teams
- Help prepare shipping documentation, invoices, and customer correspondence
- Maintain organized logs for incoming and outgoing shipments
Requirements
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail - accuracy matters here!
- Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs
- Comfortable driving in varying weather and route conditions
- Basic computer/data entry skills
- Prior experience in warehouse, delivery, shipping, or clerical/office work is a plus - but we're happy to train the right person!
