Senior Research Officer

About the role

Assist with clinical research activities by collecting patient information, administering surveys, and performing clinical assessments in accordance with study protocols. Monitor and track participant recruitment progress and longitudinal sample collection, including providing training to transplant patients on finger-prick blood collection procedures. Maintain accurate research records by entering and managing data in REDCap while ensuring compliance with privacy, ethical, and organisational requirements. Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, academics, and other healthcare professionals to support research projects, meetings, and the preparation of scientific reports and publications. Contribute to a safe and collaborative workplace by completing assigned tasks accurately, following workplace health and safety requirements, and supporting the wider research team as required. About you PhD in Biomedical Science or a related discipline, with relevant experience in clinical or scientific research, particularly in areas related to frailty assessment. Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid Australian work visa. Strong experience in accurate record keeping, including the development, maintenance, and management of research databases. Proven ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyse and synthesise data for reports, presentations, and scientific publications, alongside a solid understanding of confidentiality and WHS principles.
