Stores Assistant (Seasonal) Key Responsibilities: Verify and sign for orders, checking against delivery dispatch notes. Load and unload vehicles with furniture, building materials, and other items. Ensure furniture is protected during transit and storage to prevent damage. Build and dismantle furniture as required. Consolidate stock lists and maintain inventory. Deliver furniture and building materials to various properties efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the van, including daily emptying and regular vehicle checks. Submit all completed forms to the office at the end of each day. Provide cover for colleagues during absences. Adhere to all company policies, particularly health and safety regulations. Participate in shifts and on-call rotations. Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position. Knowledge and Skills: Experience in a similar role, particularly in building and dismantling items. Health and Safety manual handling certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Hold a full clean UK driving license. Knowledge of driving routes in Surrey, London, and Suffolk (Desirable).
