The Regulatory Compliance Advisor works with attorneys in the firm's national security and trade practice to assist clients with preparation of compliance documentation relating to international trade controls, FCC requirements, and other regulatory matters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Independently work with clients to prepare compliance documentation, including export, FCC, and NOAA license applications, classification analyses, technology control plans, registration statements, annual and semi-annual reports, and other compliance program documentation. Train and oversee the work of case assistants on export controls and FCC licensing Track regulatory developments, support engagement with regulators, prepare and edit internal guidance, create client alerts, and other substantive non-billable materials. Support business development efforts through development of pitch materials, attendance at aerospace and defense industry-focused conferences, and development of client alerts related to national security, trade topics and other regulatory matters Support other team projects on an as needed basis Maintain compliance with all firm policies and procedures Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate required 8+ years of relevant experience handling international trade compliance, FCC licensing, and other national security and related regulatory matters in a corporate compliance department or law firm required Expertise in managing in-house compliance programs, including management of international trade and FCC compliance maters Experience managing a team of compliance professionals preferred Must possess a high level of attention to detail and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary client service Stellar project management and organizational skills Must possess good judgment, intuition and problem solving skills Must be reliable and dependable Outstanding interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization in various functions and locations Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients E xcellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook). Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Ability and willingness to travel as needed The primary location for this job posting is in Seattle, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $163,200 - $220,800 per year. The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance.
