About the role
About the position: Assigned to the Langley Bowling Center at Langley AFB, VA. Flexible position guaranteed 0 hours per week but can be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week. Position is a growth position to PSN 70151 Recreation Assistant, NF-0189-02. Incumbent will be noncompetitively promoted upon successful completion of 6 months at this level. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: RECREATION AID, NF-0189-01: No experience required Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Math proficiency is highly desirable. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable RECREATION ASSISTANT, NF-0189-02: Experience which provides a basic knowledge and understanding of bowling center operations including the rules related to bowling and organization of leagues and tournaments. Knowledge of bowling machinery and equipment and bowling lane care. Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items, and use of cash accountability control methods. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and possess skill in dealing with the public. Prior experience in basic supply techniques is desirable.
