As Account Executive, you will lead commercial activities across the Eastern European region, with a primary focus on markets including Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and other selected Eastern European countries . Working remotely from Poland , you will develop existing customer relationships while driving new business opportunities in the heat pump, district heating, industrial steam, and energy transition sectors. A key aspect of this role is promoting and growing the combined portfolio of Vilter by Copeland and SPH (Sustainable Process Heat) solutions, providing customers with industry-leading technologies for industrial heat pumps, high-temperature process heating, steam generation, heat recovery, and district heating applications. SPH, headquartered in Overath, Germany, joined Copeland in 2025, further strengthening Copeland's industrial heating capabilities. This position reports directly to the Sales Director Europe .

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary commercial lead for customers and partners across Eastern Europe, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Drive revenue growth for both Vilter and SPH product portfolios, identifying opportunities to deliver integrated solutions that address customer needs.
  • Develop and execute territory and key account strategies to achieve growth objectives.
  • Develop new business opportunities within district heating, industrial heat pumps, sustainable process heating, steam generation, heat recovery, and decarbonization applications.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with end users, consultants, EPC/EPCM companies, contractors, utilities, municipalities, and government stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to understand technical and commercial requirements and present tailored solutions.
  • Manage your territory independently by planning customer visits, conducting sales meetings, and developing strategic account plans.
  • Represent Copeland, Vilter, and SPH at regional and international trade shows, conferences, and technical presentations.
  • Prepare commercial offers, sales proposals, and business cases, including financial and technical value propositions.
  • Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline within Copeland CRM tools and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, application engineering, and project execution teams to secure and deliver projects successfully.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic growth initiatives across the region.
  • Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven success in technical sales, business development, account management, or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
  • Experience selling capital equipment, engineered solutions, or complex systems within the energy, HVAC, heat pump, industrial heating, or district heating sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close complex opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success building long-term partnerships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and influencing capabilities across technical and commercial audiences.
  • Experience working with EU-funded projects, public tenders, municipalities, utilities, EPC/EPCM firms, and the broader energy sector.
  • Fluency in English and either Polish.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Eastern European region.
  • Valid driver's license.
