About the role
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, the Mining Engineer, as part of the Mid-Range team at Fording River Operations, is responsible for supporting the Engineering and Projects departments with planning and stewardship of technical projects, and the integration of major work into the active Mine Operation. This person will hold a key role working within the engineering and other site departments to coordinate the effective planning and execution of critical scopes within the mine. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum five years of experience in mine planning
- Professional Engineering Designation recognized by EGBC
- Strong digital literacy in mining-related software
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite®
- Motivated self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent
