About the role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor to maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in our facility. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and customers. This role is essential to the overall upkeep and appearance of the building. Day in the Life: Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas. Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting maintenance needs. Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules. Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored properly. Lock and unlock doors as needed and ensure security of the facility. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners).
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or walking for long periods.
