Responsibilities

  • Lead site EHSS resources in the region and oversee continuing professional development in EHSS.
  • Exert strong leadership and influence to drive EHSS performance in the region.
  • Maintain and monitor EHSS performance metrics and develop strategic improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively engage global EHSS competency leaders and subject matter experts for needed regional support and communication alignment with the sites.

  • Support site and regional level action planning and closure of audit findings.
  • Participate in due diligence activities and coordinate, support and monitor EHSS support for the integration process of new sites/acquisitions.
  • Monitor changes to the regulation and industry EHSS standards and provide necessary support to site resources.
  • Support sites to implement programs to identify, manage and control hazards and determine appropriate communications process to control EHSS risks.
  • Facilitate effective Root Cause Analysis and support in the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required with an Occupational Safety, Health, and Security discipline preferred.
  • Chemical Engineering industry alignment strongly preferred.
  • CSP (certified safety professional) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security fields.
  • Regional knowledge of EHS&S regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 or RC14001 Management System standards.
  • Manufacturing Engineering, Process Safety Management, and Operations experience strongly desired.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and implement given instructions.
  • Unquestioned ethics and integrity including the ability to work on confidential matters.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Must be willing to travel 25-40% regionally.
