Press Operator 1 (Sheeter Operator)

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed sheeting equipment to
• convert paperboard rolls into precise sheets.
• Quality Control: Constantly monitor sheet dimensions, squareness, and surface quality
• to prevent defects (e.g., dust, slitting errors, or scuffing).
• Setup & Changeover: Review job tickets to determine specifications (size, weight,
• grain direction) and perform efficient make-ready transitions between different jobs.
• Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on knives,
• rollers, and belts to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Material Handling: Operate forklifts or roll-clamping equipment to load heavy rolls onto
• the unwind stands.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical issues or paper-run jams to minimize
• downtime.
• Technical Aptitude: Experience with industrial machinery (preferably sheeters like
• Marquip, Goodstrong or Maxson) is a major plus.
• Mathematical Precision: Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32" and perform basic
• calculations for sheet counts and waste percentages.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-
• paced manufacturing environment.
• Detail Oriented: A "sharp eye" for catching small defects that could cause issues later
• in the printing or die-cutting stages.
• Safety First: Strict adherence to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and PPE
