Communications Internship

About the role

Essity is a global leader in health and hygiene with our corporate headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. We are a multi-billion-dollar company that is committed to breaking barriers to well-being. Essity does this through innovative brands in the areas of Professional Hygiene, Consumer Goods, and Health & Medical Solutions. This is a 6 month to 1 year internship in the communication field. In this role, the individual is responsible for supporting Essity's corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, PR marketing, and local corporate PR efforts. This includes overseeing the execution of social responsibility initiatives, ensuring the communication of company values, and supporting PR for product launches.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop impactful community outreach programs.
• Monitor the outcomes and report on the success of CSR activities, ensuring measurable results.
• Communicate Essity's CSR efforts to both internal and external audiences, showcasing the company's commitment to social impact.
• Manage relationships with NGOs (e.g., Chepe se Baña, etc).
• Support PR agency on follow-up of key media outlets to ensure positive media coverage.
• Align local PR efforts with Essity's regional communication framework to ensure consistent brand representation.
• Oversee the successful implementation of the corporate communication strategy in the region.
• Provide strategic support to brand teams, ensuring Essity Corporate elements are integrated into campaigns.
• Be the point of contact between the Brands / and PR agency.

Requirements

• A person interested in gaining experience in the field of communications or an advanced student in the career with an interest in undertaking university internships.
• Experience in areas such as media management, corporate Communications / PR, marketing, event management
• Person with skills in communication, strategic thinking and knowledge of the local market.
• Availability to undertake an internship for 6 months to 1 year.
• Intermediate/advanced proficiency in English.
