Job Description: Our site in Neckarbischofsheim currently develops and manufactures precision crystals and crystal oscillators with around 125 employees, which are used in telecommunications, test and measurement technology, medical technology, and radar systems. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be part of the Planning Team at the Neckarbischofsheim site in German. The role focuses on preparing planning worklists, performing material availability checks, and releasing production orders to ensure on-time starts. You will support backlog monitoring, yield exception handling, and short-term rescheduling activities, working closely with production, sales, and planning colleagues. You will help identify delivery and revenue risks, document impacts in the MRP system, and maintain Excel-based planning reports to support efficient, data-driven daily operations. Delivery date determination for both external customer orders and internal (intercompany) orders, taking into account material availability, lead times, and capacities (bill of materials, routings, and capacity planning). Delivery date monitoring and tracking, including risk and root-cause analyses to identify negative impacts on on-time delivery performance. This includes the entry and evaluation of reasons for delivery delays, as well as the creation of action plans to ensure and improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction. Delivery date management also includes, where required, early warning notifications to the sales team, as well as the processing and documentation of pull-in and push-out requests from the sales team (SOR requests). Planning, creation, maintenance, and tracking of production orders. This involves analyzing inventory levels and planning parameters of materials and semi-finished goods listed in the bill of materials, while also considering available production capacities and resources. The release of production orders is always carried out with a focus on optimal production utilization, cost efficiency, and inventory management. Inventory management, among other activities in cooperation with the supply chain team. Regular determination and monitoring of stock and safety stock levels with the objective of maximizing supply reliability while minimizing capital tied up in inventory. Capacity monitoring and analysis, presentation of capacity requirements in supply meetings, and provision of production requirements and forecasts. To achieve revenue targets, cross-departmental and cross-functional controlling and steering of measures and action plans to ensure the defined revenue objectives. In addition, targeted reports and analyses are prepared. Forecast planning, entry, and maintenance based on customer forecasts, historical/legacy forecasts, and information from marketing and product management. A strong focus is placed on minimizing inventory risk. Creation of working files and documentation to support daily and non-daily tasks and challenges. Regular management reports on a weekly and monthly basis are prepared, commented on, and analyzed. Creation and analysis of KPI reports to identify improvement potential.
