Join the Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit at AstraZeneca as a US Tozorakimab (Respiratory Biologics) Insight Director. This role is based in our US Respiratory Insight, Analytics, and Forecasting team and will lead the generation of insight and analytics in the Respiratory Biologics space for a therapy currently with multiple ongoing Phase 3 clinical trials. This role provides strategic business insight capabilities, will have an in depth understanding of the brand/therapeutic area and will consolidate insights from primary market research, analytics, competitive intelligence, and forecasting into insights and recommendation. As a consultative partner to the Brand teams, this role will bring independent and strategic thinking to the brand, supporting and challenging where appropriate . This role will also require business partnership with multiple collaborators beyond the Brand team including Sales Force Operations, Finance, Market Access, and Global. Main Responsibilities: Partner with Brand team to develop brand strategies using a range of analytics and insight from the marketplace and provide actionable insights to inform product positioning, messaging, segmentation, demand estimation, and go-to-market strategy Guide the performance analytics and insight involved in the development of several elements of the marketing mix: personal selling materials, direct to consumer, non-personal promotion tactics, etc. Drive the insight and analytic plan with foresight-developing capabilities and analytics anticipating business need and the lifecycle of the portfolio Lead the generation of competitive analysis (external analyst reports, alerts, company reports, QBR etc ) for a brand, ensuring implications are reflected in the brand strategy and forecast and landed in the brand team Accountable for the guidance and alignment of the product/brand forecast and related assumptions collaborating closely with Forecasting and Analytics colleagues Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, CI, market access) to ensure alignment on generation of insights and development of commercial strategy Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to guide business decisions Design the insight plan in conjunction with the Sr. Director of Insight in order to ensure resources (dollars and people) are best leveraged to meet the true business needs Essential requirements Science or commercial related 4-year degree Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research across different stakeholder groups ( e.g. HCPs, patients and payers) 5+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry Proven ability to conduct analytics using secondary data sources key to the pharmaceutical industry (IQVIA, Prognos , Decision Resources, patient level data) and performance tracking Good business acumen, strategic thinking and understanding of sales and marketing business practices Ability to influence laterally and vertically High emotional intelligence Ability to lead projects Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments to demanding deadlines with minimal supervision Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as teamwork abilities Comfortable working in a matrix environment Strong written and verbal communication Experience in leading insight for a specialty product with knowledge of specialty pharmacy and buy and bill distribution and tracking Experience within specialty biologics, respiratory, or immunology therapy area Desirable: High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches , processes and methodologies Experience conducting pre-product launch market research (e.g., positioning, segmentation) In depth knowledge of respiratory biologics market dynamics At AstraZeneca, we are on a journey to bring life-saving medicines to patients. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
