Pediatric Inpatient Certified Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• In this role, you'll support pharmacists and clinical teams to ensure every child receives the safest, most accurate medication therapy. Daily responsibilities include:
• Preparing, dispensing, and delivering medications to inpatient units.
• Stocking and managing automated dispensing cabinets.
• Compounding sterile and non‑sterile products (training provided).
• Assisting with STAT and batch medication preparation.
• Managing medication inventory and supplies.
• Providing excellent customer service to care teams.
• Using pharmacy computer systems and technology for safe medication distribution.

• Technical Capabilities:
• Pharmaceutical Computer Literacy (Fundamental Awareness): Has demonstrated a basic understanding of computers or has successfully completed training for applications that are used to support medication use processes.

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA is required in order to be considered.
• Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
• Open to candidates with less than 1 year of experience.

Full training provided - including non-sterile and sterile compounding and cleanroom competency. Hospital experience not required.
