Field Applications Engineer - Automotive

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for Wolfspeed direct sales or distributors through customer presentations and product demonstrations
• Monitor & support customer design efforts; provide remote and on-site customer support
• Assist customer design engineers to successfully incorporate Wolfspeed Silicon Carbide power components in their products
• Answer technical inquiries from customers with proper documentation and timely feedback/analysis
• Support new product launches and introduction in target customers, including the training for channel partners
• Design, develop, document and distribute reference and demonstration platforms for SiC Power product target applications
• Develop and present materials at technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor training
• Provide market feed back to the company with consolidated customer requirements to define new products and product enhancements
• Provide SiC technology and product evangelism within the target customers
• Local commercial activities like pricing strategy, partnership negotiation and programs to win
• Minimum Requirements:
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with power systems and devices at theoretical and practical levels
• Field testing experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Strong customer presentation skills
• A passion for SiC Power Devices
