About the role
Works under the supervision of Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Coordinator in personal care of the patients and their environment (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified treatments. Responsibilities
- Demonstrates positive customer service utilizing appropriate telephone etiquette. Strives to meet/exceed the needs of the facility's customers/patients by demonstrating flexibility and sense of urgency to patient care needs.
- Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the technology systems necessary for patient data collection.
- Participates positively in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students as needed.
- Promotes team work by working effectively as a team member as well as independently. Seeks assistance as needed. Consistently and accurately identifies and reports changes in patient condition/behavior to a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Demonstrates understanding of diverse patient care populations served within the community.
- Support and/ provides suggestions for cost containment. Identifies and recommends solutions for cost savings/waste reduction.
Requirements
- Education
- High School Diploma or GED, Nurse Aide (Preferred)
- Prior acute health care setting (Preferred)
- Licenses and Certifications
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
