THE JOB The position requires an experienced transactional attorney who will be responsible for supporting venue food and beverage operations, licensing, new venue development, and an array of commercial contracts. The job will be located in Beverly Hills and will provide day-to-day strategic legal support nationally. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO Negotiate and draft concession agreements, management agreements, supplier agreements, vendor agreements, and other food and beverage-related agreements. File or supervise filing of new liquor license applications and other music-venue related permits and supervise license and permit renewals nationwide. Support concerts and festivals teams regarding alcohol compliance. Review and draft a wide variety of commercial contracts. Review and comment on food and beverage/permitting components of new commercial leases. Provide general legal support. WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING J.D. from a top tier law school. California bar membership in good standing, or other state bar membership and willingness and qualification to be Registered In-House Counsel. Minimum 4 years' total legal experience in private practice or a combination of private practice and in-house. Large law firm experience a plus. Extensive contract negotiation and drafting experience. Background in complex commercial contracts, M&A, food and beverage law, and/or hospitality law. Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines. Excellent judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle a high volume of work, and work through projects with minimal supervision. Commitment to responsiveness to the field. Desire to partner with business executives to provide solutions. Excellent writing and analytic skills. Attention to detail. Background in highly regulated areas, such as alcohol law, a plus. Restaurant or live entertainment industry experience a plus.
