We are looking for a Director, Learning & Development to join our IP team in Noida to lead the end‑to‑end strategy, design, and execution of capability‑building programs across the IP Segment. This role will own the vision, design, governance, and impact of learning across the full colleague lifecycle-from foundational onboarding to advanced applied capability through IP Academy and associated initiatives. The role will ensure that colleagues across Product, Content, Commercial, Technology, Operations, and Customer‑facing teams develop the IP fluency and applied skills needed to deliver on Clarivate's IP growth strategy. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 10-15+ years' experience in Learning & Development, Capability Building, or Product/Commercial Enablement. Strong understanding of IP products, data, workflows, and customer use cases (or ability to rapidly acquire this). Demonstrated experience designing structured, progressive learning architectures in complex global organizations. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate at executive level. Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning analytics. What will you be doing in this role? 1. Learning Strategy & Vision Define and maintain a unified IP Learning & Development strategy aligned to segment growth priorities, product evolution, commercial goals, and customer experience expectations. Establish a clear learning architecture including: Foundational onboarding Role-based essential and intermediate pathways Advanced applied capability through strategic initiatives Lead the strategic evolution of IP Academy as the structured, role-based learning engine of the segment. Ensure learning priorities reflect real business needs, product lifecycle changes, and customer workflows. 2. Program Design & Ownership Lead the design and continuous evolution of structured IP Learning Pathways, ensuring clear progression from foundational knowledge to advanced applied capability. Ensure curriculum integrates with core IP concepts, product capabilities, quality standards, commercial acumen and end-to-end customer workflows. Maintain coherence, rigor, and measurable impact across all learning tracks. Partner with Product, Commercial, and Operations leaders to develop sessions grounded in real-world workflows, integration points, and applied business scenarios. Own the end-to-end new hire learning experience for IP roles, including structure, sequencing, content standards, assessment, and capability milestones. Establish and govern a globally consistent, scalable, and trackable onboarding framework that accelerates time-to-competency and ensures measurable readiness outcomes. 3. Content Excellence & Thought Leadership Champion simple, high-quality learning design that minimizes SME burden while maximizing learner impact. Lead development of practical, reusable learning assets (e.g., visual workflows, two-pagers, case-based modules, demo-driven sessions). Embed applied case methods and scenario-based learning aligned to real customer usage. Build and govern a centralized, reusable IP learning asset library across platforms. 4. Governance & Stakeholder Partnership Act as the primary learning advisor to the IP Leadership Team. Establish a pragmatic governance model to prioritize topics and quarterly themes (e.g., Product + Commercial + Operations steering group). Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Customer Relationship Management, Sales Enablement, Operations, Technology and Content. Influence senior stakeholders to align capability-building efforts with business outcomes. 5. Measurement, Insights and Impact Implement a clear, positive, and outcome-focused measurement framework including: Reach and engagement metrics Capability/fluency progression indicators Application evidence within 30-60 days Provide quarterly impact reporting to IPLT, highlighting capability trends, skill gaps, and strategic learning priorities. Continuously refine programs based on measurable business impact and learner insights. 6. Learning Operations & Platform Leadership Oversee end-to-end learning operations including scheduling, delivery, tracking, certification, and quality assurance. Ensure seamless management of IP Academy LMS and associated tools. Lead vendor relationships and evaluate technology enablers to enhance scalability and learner experience. Build operational rigor while maintaining simplicity and accessibility.
